THE FUTURE IS ALREADY HERE

The Intenet of Humans turned into The Internet of Things

What is IoT?

Why do we need it? To make life easier, of course!

Internet of things is a concept of all interconnected devices

that can transfer (and even more) data to each other all over the world.

Thanks to the fact, that the Internet is almost everywhere, this concept is even closer to us, than you can think.

A lightbulb that can be switched on using a smartphone app is an IoT device, as is a motion sensor or a smart thermostat in your office or a connected streetlight. An IoT device could be as fluffy as a child's toy or as serious as a driverless truck.

Some larger objects may themselves be filled with many smaller IoT components, such as a jet engine that's now filled with thousands of sensors collecting and transmitting data back to make sure it is operating efficiently. At an even bigger scale, smart cities projects are filling entire regions with sensors to help us understand and control the environment.

What is IoT?

Nowadays

Life gets better

Nowadays

Nowadays

Life gets better

Nowadays almost every big company somehow is trying to be associated with the Internet of things

For example, car manufactures: every car is equipped with hundreds of sensors that transfer data to the gateway.
And if you need, there is no problem to get this information from the car.

So if "Check Engine" illuminates your dashboard, mechanic at nearest service station can easily diagnose the problem.

But some cars can automatically contact stations where they are constantly served and sign up for checkup. So all you need is to go to this service.

Or, for example, when you want to get to your destination point and use map in your smartphone, IoT and smart algorithms stand for "The shortest route without traffic jams".

Because thanks to the Internet, your map application gathers and transfers information from other users to servers, where it is processed and "Your route" is built.

And that's not all

Nowadays more and more people can't even imagine their lives without a wide range of voice assistants, smart watches, smart domestic appliances (conditioners, domotics, coffee machines, refrigerators, kettles, vacuum cleaners, weights, plates etc).

In fact, all this stuff is a part of IoT, because you get messages and control it either via Bluetooth, or via the Internet.

Or even more

Smart traffic cameras monitor roads for congestion, accidents and weather conditions.
Then it communicates that status to the gateway that combines it with data from other cameras, creating an intelligent citywide traffic system.

And if one of the cameras detects, for example, congestion caused by an accident, it sends this information to the citywide transportation system, which adapts routes of the emergency services by manipulating traffic lights and other stuff such as drawbridges or hydraulic rising bollards.

These technologies are being implemented in the U.S.A, China and some European countries.

Future

How is it going to change our future?

Imagine, it's 7 o'clock, smart alarm clock had determined your sleeping patterns and awoke you at optimal time. Few minutes before this, it sent a signal to your coffee machine and smart curtains. A cup of aromatic arabica is already waiting for you in the kitchen and sunlight shines in your room. You put on your smart watches that measure your pulse and give some recommendations for a day. Then you go to the shower, where some kind of smart boiler has already heated water for you.

After refreshing shower, you enjoy tasty discriminating drink and try on your outfit for this day simultaneously, thanks to the interactive mirror.

Suddenly, refrigerator sends you a message,

that you have run out of your favorite jelly and it waits confirmation

to order some more from the nearest shop.

When you leave the house, your car is already waiting for you in the yard, with the best route to your work in the GPS navigator. And your house automatically locks till the moment you come home again.

You don't even need to take care of driving,

because a huge amount of different sensors and autopilot system in your car do their work for you. Smart drones are flying over your head, shipping goods to the buyers, smart traffic lights synchronize their activity (based on the information gathered from thousands of sensors and cameras from all over the megalopolis) such a way almost no traffic jams are in the city.

In Ukraine

In Ukraine

Ukraine also is not far behind in the field of IoT

The most popular company in Ukraine that manufactures smart security systems is AJAX.

They produce professional products that meet the strictest security demands and can be easly controlled from smartphone.
Ajax offers entire ecosystem that helps people stay safe.

The main device in their kit is Intelligent control panel.

It uses encrypted radio protocol to connect to detectors and monitor them. The hub immediately sends alerts via SMS, push notification or phone call.

Their detectors recognize motion, door movement and broken glass.
They detect smoke and temperature increases, flooding.
All of this while keeping track of room temperature.

If something is wrong, sirens indicate that an alarm has been triggered, which can frighten off intruders.

All you need to control the situation is a smartphone or laptop with the Internet access.
You can go on vacation, stay late at work or take a long sabbatical. No matter what, you can be sure that everything at home is in order.
